WannaBe: <alexmagnus> Yesterday was Roman Dzindzichashvili, I have problem with Zamikhovsky. Mostly it's where the accent is. ZA-mik-hoff-ski? za-mik-HOFF-ski? za-MIK-hoff-ski? And Roman's last name, I won't even try... Zinzi-CHASH-villi?

alexmagnus: Za-mi-HOFF-sky is the right pronounciation.
And Dzindzichashvili: Jin-ji-ha-SHVI-li.

Sep-08-05   WTHarvey: Here are some puzzles from Abram's games: http://www.wtharvey.com/zami.html
Mar-30-06   blingice: He's never played a Sicilian on black or white, and he prevents this on white by playing 1. d4 for 95 of his 96 games, according to his Repetoire Explorer.
Mar-30-06   makaveli52: lol thats exactly what I do, queen's gambit and caro kann, all mainly to avoid the sicilian. Cant stand that defense.
Mar-30-06   Tariqov: <alexmagnus>Are you sure thats how to pronounce the name??i think it's Za-mi-kovs-kee.
Oct-01-07   bravado1: (makaveli52) concerning your evasion of Sicilian
I can't stand King's Indian, esp. as white. If someone plays this defence against me, I feel like quitting at once. I'ma d4 player which suits me better than e4, though if I know that black plays KID, i switch to e4.
