Aug-25-05   ConLaMismaMano: This is a very promising 17 year old brazilian IM who unfortunately didn't participate at the 2005 Continental Championship. His actual ELO rating is 2462 but his peak up to now was 2489. Check out his victory against Bu Xiangzhi at Calvia Olympiad.
Aug-26-05   ConLaMismaMano: He's certainly following the footsteps of Mecking, Vescovi, Milos and Leitao.

whiteshark: Games are now unified, but he is known to FIDE as <Alexandr Fier>, so probably ceegee will create another players page sooner or later.

Resignation Trap: <tanuri>: What is so sad about being self-taught?
Oct-06-09   tanuri: Resignation Trap :

Its because that is a symptom of no metodology of chess in brazil / s.america

it isn;t taught in public schools, there has been a recent effort to teach it in public schools lets see if that has some effect, still there are few clubs coaches etc,
