ATOUSA POURKASHIYAN

WGM Atousa Pourkashiyan became Iranian Women's Chess Champion in 2008 and won the U12 World Youth Chess Championship in 2000. She became a WGM in 2008. Winner of the Asian Continental Championship (w) in Subic Bay, Philippines in 2010. Competed in the FIDE Knock-Out Women's World Championship (2012); she lost in the first round to Chinese WGM Ju Wenjun in the second round of rapid game tiebreakers after tieing the classical games 1-1 and the first pair of rapid game tiebreakers 1-1.
