Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-25-05   ConLaMismaMano: This is a very talented 16 year old FM (soon to become IM) from Paraguay actually rated at 2410. He drew two strong GMs (Leitao 2598 and Ricardi 2551) at the Continental Championship.
Aug-26-05   ConLaMismaMano: Axel is most probably going to surpass his fellow countryman GM Franco Ocampos (the only GM that Paraguay has).

Robin01: Looks like he won The Lone Star Championship in Texas. He beat two 2400 players in doing so.

Mar-07-08   stonebrain2006: Axel did very well at the Morelia-Linares Iberoamericano 2008. He beat GM Vescovi and Bruzón among other lesser rated players, and was favorite to classify to semifinals when quite unexpectedly he lost the last 3 games in a row.

whiteshark: <vonKrolock:> I'm confused Axel Bachmann Schiavo

Is 'Bachmann' his father's name, and if so, is it also part of his (son's) name ?

vonKrolock: <whiteshark> So far I know, it's just a, so to say, formal inversion - in non-Spanish countries, the <Schiavo> would be simply the 'middle' name (from mother's side). Of course, there's a source for confunsion, in general...
