Aug-26-05  sitzkrieg: Anyone who can draw Tal, Stein and Kholmov deserves a short bio. Who is this?
Sep-15-05  Resignation Trap: Eduard Andronikovich Mnatsakanian was born December 6, 1938 in Yerevan Armenia (former USSR). He won the Armenian Championship five times (1958, 1959, 1960, 1962, and 1967).

He played in the USSR Championship finals twice. In 1962 he scored 6.5/19 and in the 1967 event (a Swiss system) he finished 8-5 for 18th-26th place in a field of 126 players.

He was awarded the International Master title in 1978.

He is still active. At a recent event in Yerevan in August 2005, he scored 7.5/9 at a tournament for players 60 and over, second place behind Gagik Hakobian.
