  Honza Cervenka: <DeltaHawk: What kind of illness did she have?> I don't know but looking at her picture from Beijing 2009 on chessbase.com's site I would guess that she went through chemotherapy which may suggest that she had leukemia or some kind of cancer. Poor girl...:-(

From what I have read, I believe she suffered from a type of cancer. I have no specifics or confirmation.
