EVGENY AGREST (born Aug-15-1966) Belarus (citizen of Sweden) [what is this?] Grandmaster from Belarus who has been living in Sweden since 1994. He was born in Russia. In 2003, he won a game from world champion Ruslan Ponomariov because Ponomariov's cell phone rang during their match in the European team championship. A cell phone ringing during a FIDE match is an automatic disqualification. In 2004, it was Agrest who lost a game when his cell phone rang. He has won the Nordic Chess Championship in 2001 and 2003. He won the Swedish Championship in 1998, 2001, 2002, and 2004. He has played in four Chess Olympiads. In 2004, he played Board 1 for Sweden at the Chess Olympiad in Calvia.
