VerdeNotte: hi guys, I'm Gawain Jones btw, just saying hello. Would like to say my results are better than they appear here :)
Apr-26-06   GBKnight: Good to hear from you, Gawain. Congratulations on the IM title ! Can we assume you will be playing in the 'British' this year, and, if so, how do you rate your chances ?

  VerdeNotte: Hi,
sorry tried to kib before but might not have worked. Thanks, next stop gm title :P I should be playing the British this year and I'll see how I can do. Rowson if he plays will be favourite again probably. I'd be happy with a top 5 finish.
Aug-16-06   Runemaster: <pedantry alert> Gawain's name on this site "VerdeNotte" translates from Italian as 'green night'. He could take instead the name "CavaliereVerde" which would be 'green knight'.
Aug-16-06   FICSwoodpusher: Congratulations on winning the SA open. Even though this tournament is unheard of internationally, a win is a win.
Aug-21-06   watergun7: Hey Gawain,
Well done at the British, even though u had to take the bye... Hope u become a GM soon.

Benzol: Gawain Jones lost today to Victor Mikhalevski in Rd 8 of the Queenstown Classic. The most depressing thing is that the game was only 15 moves. See
