May-30-14  zanzibar: My work with the lastest FIDE ratings list doesn't even have a rating for this player, let alone a title.

In fact, following the FIDE card link here shows the same (good for my software, not good for <CG> biography above).

What was the source for "titling" this player?

May-30-14  zanzibar: By the way, if <CG> had a convention for tagging such titles then I could eventually double-check automatically as I run through all players.

(Right now I'm checking results by hand - very nonsystematic).

May-30-14  zanzibar: <Stonehenge> I assume you fixed it then...

Your link is to FIDE id 9300481.

I believe the old one was to 9303642.

Both dob 1986.

May-30-14  zanzibar: Oh, and the name, shouldn't it be Abdullah Hassan to match?

Stonehenge: Well, there are quite a few countries where they put the family name first.

Yes, a good point - and one I'll bring up again in another forum. Maybe FIDE is the one being inconsistent here:

Old FIDE ID 9303642 -> Abdullah, Hussain (UAE) (no games, no rating, and no dob - my bad above)

New FIDE ID 9300481 -> Hassan, Abdullah (UAE)

Maybe FIDE yanked the old ID to get the name correct?
