Ivan Farago was born on the 1st of April 1946 in Budapest, Hungary. He was awarded the IM title in 1974 and the GM title in 1976. He was 1st= at Halle 1978, 1st at Kecskemet 1979, 1st= ( with Lajos Portisch ) in the 1981 Hungarian Championship, 1st at Svendborg, 1st= at Bagneux 1983, 1st at Albena 1983, 1st= at Wijk aan Zee 1987 and 1st at Budapest 1987.

Apr-12-05   waddayaplay: His favourite approach to the gruenfeld the rather unusual Bf4 and e3.

Since I'm a French Player like him, I looked through his games with black, and found them to be very complicated.
