Joanna Majdan, who holds the title of WGM, is a multiple medalist in Polish and world junior championship events. In 2008, she finished 2nd at the Polish Championship in Krakow, and won a medal at the Dresden Olympiad for the best individual result on 4th board (9.5/11) while playing for the fifth place Polish team.

Some other results in international competition include: 4th place, U14 WCh., Heraklio Greece 2002; 2nd place, U16 WCh., Heraklio Greece 2004, and 2nd place, U18 WCh., Belfort France 2005.

Currently, she lives and studies journalism in her hometown of Koszalin.
