  Phony Benoni: Notice the gap from 1973-2001. When a player completely drops out for almost 30 years, you have to wonder if these games are actually from two different players.

I'm currently looking at games from an AKN tournament held in Haarlem, 1996, in which one participant is given as <Jan Van den Bergh>. The name is very close, and I'm wondering if he might be also be the person who played the games from 2001.

  sneaky pete: The first 4 games (from Hoogovens tournaments 1963/1966) were played by Carel Benjamin Van den Berg, who died in 1971.
