Dec-19-07   Pinoychess: Sadorra, who already earned his first GM-norm in the Pichay Cup is playing superb in the Singapore Open... With 5 points after 6 rounds, I will not be surprised if he gets another GM-norm =)Goodluck http://pinoychess.informe.com/forum...
Dec-28-07   Pinoychess: Ino Sadorra just won a Malaysian chess tourney besting the likes of GM Villamayor...

Maybe Ino, who will be part of the RP Team in the Asian Team Championship (jan.2-10 in India) could also take part in the 6th Parsvnath International Open Chess Tournament http://www.delhichess.com/ also in India for the chance to earn another GM norm... that said tournament will be participated by various GMs from Asia like Ehsan Ghaem Maghami of Iran etc.

Jan-31-08   Pinoychess: Sadorra will join the tough Russia's Aeroflot Open =)

Sep-09-08   pinoymaster77: He has 3.5pts so far out of 5 rounds.
Hope he gets GM norm, think 5.5pts
or 6 pts needed in GMA Cup
Jan-05-09   pinoymaster77: All the best to IM Sadorra this 2009,may he be part of the batch of GMs this '09, in the league of Bitoon and Salvador!
Jan-05-09   pinoymaster77: Sharing this blog I chanced upon on Ino's background. Actually before I just read his name in the chess news for the tournaments of a Spore-based Pinoy master, then I caught glimpses of him during recent Pichay and GMA Cups at Duty Free.

and oh yes...si Mr Bing Sadorra, Inno's father. Wow!!He could be easily be voted as top choice for father of the year.# 1 very very religious siya.Approachable, humble and walang kaere ere sa katawan. He is a classic father na hindi ko makakalimutan sa buhay ko...U know guys maraming marami na akong chess father na nakahalubilo pero iba siya. I remember nung nasa Pinas pa sila and Inno was only 11 then...pasencia na sa tatamaan pero this is a true story...gusto kong ikuwento upang pamarisan ng mga father diyan...Last round ni Inno sa 1998 Far East Bank Open na ginanap sa Greenhills Shopping Center ang namayapang Luis Abriam or Rod to friends. Way back, si Rod e bantay pa nuon sa Luneta Chess Plaza, then naging tambay sa ilalim ng tulay sa Cubao kung saan kami matagal na nagkasama. Sabay kaming naglaro nun sa Far East Bank. I remember na pag nanalo siya against Inno, automatic magmamaster si Rod or vice versa. E ayaw ni Rod masmaster kasi nga, in demand siya as non master sa mga team tournaments. Malakas na player si Rod at marami talagang kumukuha sa kanya pag team tournament as board 3 or board 4. So ang ginawa niya or at the proddings of one his friend na tatawagin nating "biyahero to the max", sinabihan ni biyahero si Rod na ibigay na lang ang laban kay Inno para si Inno na lang ang magmaster at kay Rod ang pera. Pero alam nio, Mr. Sadorra flatly declined the offer of the middle man na si biyahero nga. I remember what he said, "if God will grant Inno to become a master by then, so be it, but let him do it the hard way". Ang nagyari, bumalik si biyahero kay Rod who told him kahit bawasan na lang yung prize money na makukuha kasi nga ayaw niyang magmaster. Pero ganun pa rin ang reply ni Mr. SAdorra or Bing. 2 times pang bumalik yung middle man pero he did not get anything. So ang nangyari, zugzwang si Rod dahil he needs money kaya napilitan siyang lumaro ng maayos against Inno kaya in the end si Rod pa rin ang nanalo. The moral of this...hindi nagpatukso sa fame si Bing para sa anak. Ngayun look at Inno...a young International Master and soonest I hope, magiging GM din. Malinis ang pagkatao, sa laro, sa pakikisama. Katulad din ng ama niya. I'm looking forward to meeting them again, kaya lang talagang hindi pa rin kami magcrosspath. Inno was a student of MILO Checkmate under NWM Mila Emperado where I once worked as trainer. Sana maraming father na katulad ni Mr. Sadorra...masterrudyrudyi World Chess Champion

Jan-15-09   masterwojtek: Awesome player. Love to watch him play on ICC. (See Nehedan) Hope he will be a GM soon!!!!
Jan-28-09   pinoymaster77: Getting following post from Malibay Chess Club / Rusty, lets pray for IM Sadorra's successful ascent to GM level this year!

http://malibaychessclub.blogspot.com/

I already did several posts about the 1st Umali Cup. But it was only a few days ago, if I remember it right, when I noticed that the name of IM Julio Catalino Sadorra was not included in the list of participants.

The truth is that I didn’t have to look down the list to find IM Sadorra’s name. For sure, had this soon-to-be-GM Filipino talent participated in this event, he would have been a very strong contender for the title.

I received an email from Mr. Chalito Sadorra, the father of “Ino” (IM Sadorra), citing the very valid reasons why his son did not participate in the Umali Cup.

In his very own words:

“Ino did not participate in the Umali Cup because he is reviewing and will be taking the TOEFL(test for English as foreign languge) in Singapore . We plan for him to participate in Battle of GMs in March 24-31, Asian Continental and Subic Open in May 12-31 Subic, Zonal in Vietnam and Vietnam Open, Singapore Open, KL open, Korea open and GMA & Pichay . He has to participate in the Vietnam Open to defend his title as1st ASEAN champion, please see the article and photo in these websites, http://www.aseanchess.com/ http://reports.chessdom.com/asean-g... .

He will try to aim his last 2 GM norms this year, there are more or less 13 strong international chess tournaments in the region this year. Sana makuha na niya ang GM title niya, please pray for him.” Let’s all pray for Ino.

Feb-10-09   Binone54: To IM Sadorra:I wish you all the best for the year 2009!May you finally achieve your GM title this year! Our prayers are with you always!
Feb-22-09   rainbowxpress: Godspeed Inno! May your wish come true this year.
May-28-09   pinoymaster77: Keep on fighting Ino, go get a win this round 6!

May-28-09   pinoymaster77: chessph, yes wanted to take a peek at your game post, thanks
May-28-09   pinoymaster77: Ino, congrats on the win vs Jan Garcia, now with the 4 pointers!

Go maximize your points in the last 3 rounds ok. And go get that norm (hopefully chessphi features who could still make it)

May-28-09   pinoymaster77: Go Ino, that will be a good challenge vs the Indian GM Negi.

If you get his scalp, would be good for your TPR!
