Honza Cervenka: Chessgames.com, games from 1947 were not played by Miroslav Markovic, but by Mihajlo Markovic.
Nov-22-09  newzild: Wow, that's one huge ratings decline for a relatively young player - 400 points, from Grandmaster strength to strong club level. Is there some mistake here?

waustad: There are 2 different players named Miroslav Markovic who are listed by FIDE. At present, GM Miroslav Markovic, born in 1973, is rated 2458. Miroslav R Markovic, born in 1957, is rated 2123.
May-08-10  wordfunph: maybe this man is Miroslav R Markovic born 1957 and rated 2123.
May-08-10  wordfunph: oooppsss sorry my mistake, this guy is a GM, born 1973 with current 2460 rating and a high of 2586..

whiteshark: <GM Miroslav Markovic ends the hiatus, wins Central Serbia Open Championship>

The 2012 Central Serbia Open Chess Championship was held from 13th to 19th February in Pozarevac. 70 players competed over nine rounds of Swiss system.

The highlight of the tournament was the come-back of GM Miroslav Markovic, <1998 Yugoslav champion and world top-100 player in 1999>, who convincingly won the competition by collecting 7.5 points and leaving the nearest followers full point behind.

Markovic played in only a couple of events since 2005 and not a single rated game since the Swedish League 2009/2010.
