Mar-30-05   Dick Brain: Anyone else think 10 year old Parker Zhao is a future star?
Mar-31-05   PQB4: You may well be right. S Beaudoin vs P Zhao: is "wow!" a sufficiently strong comment? I think Nigel Short was 13 and rated 2240 when he last wiped me out - that gives Zhao 3 years to put on 220 points: should be a doddle.

Knight13: <Anyone else think 10 year old Parker Zhao is a future star?> Not really, but I believe he'll become a GM.
Jul-10-08   Jesspatrick: Parker had a very good World Open this year. Rated only 2236, he scored 4.5 in the Open section. His rating is now within reach of 2300.

Among his vitories, he beat GM Michael Rohde in Round 4.

Aug-17-08   Jesspatrick: Unofficially, Zhao gained his first IM norm with 6/9 at the New England Masters.
Nov-06-08   VinnyRoo2002: I'll go on record to say at the very least he'll become a GM. I think he could potentially be one of the world's elite someday. And I know that it is not good to be that kind of pressure on a youngster, so hopefully he doesn't read this page.
