|Mar-09-10|| ||BIDMONFA: Rudolfo Tan Cardoso|
CARDOSO, Rodolfo Tan
|Mar-09-10|| ||wordfunph: <Rodolfo Tan Cardoso was born in Anda in the Philippines in 1937.>|

|Mar-09-10|| ||Iskubadayb: Birthday pala ni Rudy! Happy Birthday, IM Rodolfo Tan Cardoso! A genuine chess talent! More power!|
|Apr-21-10|| ||asianwarrior: Cardoso defeated Fischer in 1957 and was able to draw with Tal in 1958! Even for a single game only, that is already an accomplishment considering that Fischer and Tal, at that time, were on their prime and would soon become World Champions.|
|May-16-10|| ||wordfunph: "One such is the Filipino International Master Rodolfo Cardoso. He does not occupy a high position on the Elo world ranking list, nor does he frequently take high places in tournaments, but he is famous for one thing --- surprise giant killing, often in beautiful games! In his time he has defeated Bronstein, Kotov, Larsen (twice), Lombardy (who was Fischer's second at Reykjavik) also twice, Browne, Portisch, Quinteros (twice) and so on."|

|Aug-30-12|| ||wordfunph: <IM Rodolfo Tan Cardoso is actually IM Rodolfo Tan. He used to write his name as Rodolfo Tan y Cardoso and somehow the "y" got lost.>|
|Sep-10-12|| ||JonathanJ: http://polpix.sueddeutsche.com/polo...|
There is only one Rodolfo Cardoso!
|Dec-15-12|| ||Ryan Razo: <IM Rodolfo Tan Cardoso is actually IM Rodolfo Tan. He used to write his name as Rodolfo Tan y Cardoso and somehow the "y" got lost.>|
Names of peoples of Spanish heritage use that style of naming like e.g. Lazaro Bruzon y Batista, Jose Raul Capablanca y Graupera, Jose Rizal y Alonso, although most of us drop the "y" nowadays and is now rarely used.
|Dec-15-12|| ||Ryan Razo: Thanks, User: chessgames.com, for changing this to RODOLFO Tan Cardoso. We, appreciate it.|
|Dec-24-12|| ||mistermac: Happy Birthday, Rudy.
Thanks to my Mum's cooking you got 2nd in Christchurch all those years ago.
And thanks to you, I was persuaded to eventually learn how to mate with B, Kt and K vs lone King. never had to use it though, although I was in a Tournament where I saw a man use it!
I never met as cheerful a man as you!
Ad multos annos!
