Jan-07-05 | | chesswhizkid: <Well, in a way, we do take out our aggression over the chessboard. My team is AMAZING this year. We beat the "best" team in our league 5-0 on Monday and are in clear first place, which makes us the complete overdogs of our half of MA. It's all thanks to this tiny freshman who plays for our board 1.
He makes fun of you while he's crushing you.
"Wow, that was a really bad move...but then again, it's typical of you." "You're the second worst chessplayer I've ever met."
"OK, now you're going to lose a lot of pieces and get mated.." "Hahaha, you suck."
We like him, though.>
Haha thats pretty funny yoozum. Yeah our team is pretty much overkill here in central Jersey, we're 4-0 and every victory was 5-0 for us. Our fouth board can beat most of the first boards from the other schools. (With a few exceptions of course). A couple years ago, we had this crazy pothead of a senior on first board, and he was the funniest kid I ever knew. Once when playing in the state finals he goes, "You moron. What the f*** were you thinking? *makes his move* Now you're really f***ed." He said this so loud (this wasn't uncommon) that all the coaches heard, and the other kid was about to cry, and well... our man got himself ejected from the tournament. lol. |
|
Jan-07-05 | | apple head: Rusu is a cool player. |
|
Jan-08-05 | | yoozum: <chesswizkid>, lol. Our board 1 isn't nearly as intimidating because he's a short and stubby freshman with an attitude problem. |

|
Mar-10-06 | | Chesstosterone: Congratulations to her. Nice victory today and he is likely to be in the final of the women's section to defend her US title. A pic of her: http://www.newyorkmasters.com/playe... And Anna Zatonskih will be her opponent in the final, so the picture <SickedChess> found (look above) is in fact a picture of this year's finalists. |

Here is the main photo page at which the photo referenced above can be viewed (presumably, unless they play the same re-routing trick with this URL!) Dec-05-08 | | AgentRgent: A very impressive Olympiad for Ms. Goletiani! +7 -0 =4 on board 3 for the bronze medal USA team. Congratulations! She caught my attention a while back due to the similarities in our openings (Reti/KIA with white, Benko with black, although she does play the Kan Sicilian which I do not), and I've become a bit of a fan. |
