SHAUN M TAULBUT (born Jan-11-1958) United Kingdom [what is this?] Shaun Mark Taulbut was born on the 11th of January 1958 in Portsmouth, England. Awarded the IM title in 1977 he won the European Junior Championship in 1977-78. He has authored books on how to play the French Defence, the Ruy Lopez and the Nimzoindian.

Mar-31-06    GBKnight: Anyone in England know what Shaun is up to now? Last I heard he gave up chess to become an accountant, and that was in the early 1980s. Mar-31-06    ray keene: shaun still plays chess in the london gentlemens clubs league representing the athenaeum-he is also a part owner of the british chess magazine Apr-02-06    GBKnight: Many thanks for that Ray. Amongst other things, this site is useful for finding out what became of people, some of them friends. Shaun could probably have become even stronger but like many I believe chose financial security.
