Shaun Mark Taulbut was born on the 11th of January 1958 in Portsmouth, England. Awarded the IM title in 1977 he won the European Junior Championship in 1977-78. He has authored books on how to play the French Defence, the Ruy Lopez and the Nimzoindian.

Mar-31-06   GBKnight: Anyone in England know what Shaun is up to now? Last I heard he gave up chess to become an accountant, and that was in the early 1980s.

  ray keene: shaun still plays chess in the london gentlemens clubs league representing the athenaeum-he is also a part owner of the british chess magazine
