HeMateMe: When he loses a game, does he give the other player the Finnbogadottir?
Feb-20-13  ughaibu: It's a "she", as is obvious from the name.

HeMateMe: Aren't there guys from Finland named Tinna? Life can be pretty confusing.
Feb-20-13  ughaibu: There are no guys named Finnbogadottir.

HeMateMe: I'd change my name, too. P.D.Q.
Feb-20-13  paavoh: No such Finnish first name for a male, and a bit iffy but possible for a female.
Feb-20-13  wych: She surely must be female, because "dottir" means "daughter"! (I think that patronymics are used in Iceland rather than family names.)

Castleinthesky: Tinna is definitely a she, and you can see a picture of her if you Google her name.

HeMateMe: Well, yeah, "Tinna", you immediately think gal, but being that this is chess, and that europeon names can be funny, I was betting it was a dude.

If I'm gonnna be mated, I hope it's a Tinna, and not a Tibor.
