Vlasta Macek (nee Kalchbrenner) was born on the 27th of June 1952 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. Awarded the WIM title in 1974 she was Yugoslavic Women's Champion in 1973 (jointly) and also finished 1st= in 1980 but lost on tie break.
