Born 1968, living in Oslo, Norway.

I learned chess as a kid, and have been a member of different clubs since youth, but have never put much effort into it. To me chess is just fun, wich is probably why I have favourite players like Tal, Shirov and Morozevich.

Appaz: <cendorila> == YATS (Yet Another Tolengoy Sock)? The usual pattern: a new account with detailed knowledge of the cg.com history, obsessed with only two topics, Wesley So and Magnus Carlsen.

Appaz: <<pbercker> just kidding> Too late, you will soon be cited out of context and used as an example of <Carlsen-fans> in general.

Appaz: Diademas, why "simply"? It's a fact that Anand has become WC by beating his own generation. The question is innocent, although badly formulated and pronounced, as often from Agdestein. Nothing to get all worked up over.

Appaz: ...or maybe Nakamura can both read and understand what he read in a context, unlike some people.

Appaz: The programmers name is misspelled in the bio, it should be Tord Romstad.

Appaz: Have to agree with <Pravitel> on this one: the finish was not convincing at all. It's not a proof a psychological weakness, but certainly weakens the claim of the contrary. The WC match suddenly became a lot more exciting: pure chess strength may not be the most important ...

Jan-16-13 Anand vs Carlsen, 2013 (replies)

Appaz: Carlsen is playing. He "never" goes for short draws so the chance for that is slim. He might of course be outplayed in the opening, were a draw offer or acceptance is the only sensible option for him.

Jul-11-12  voratco: <Appaz: <<voratco> And I know I am not in your ignore list either.>

I have to clear up a little misunderstanding, caused by me because I expressed myself unclear: you, or anyone else, has never been on my ignore list - I don't use it. However, after half a life on the internet I'm getting quite good at "manually" ignoring visual noise.>

Guilty!!! You failed to do what you preached. LOL. You got caught peeking through the glass window.

Like I told you, you will never acquire the impossible, manually ignore visual noise. Give it up and have some fun sometimes. LOL.
