Welcome to The Cirque du Boomie where the dancers will kick your teeth out and you have unlimited credit in the casino.

Feb-05-2010 - The Don said so long ago that in 5 years The Cirque would be totally legitimate. Today I see a thriving casino business and fan dancers from Yonkers. Good times!

  jessicafischerqueen: <Tim: film critic>

I'd have preferred you put those encouraging comments on the actual video- can you still do that? I'd appreciate it very much. You got to sign in with your youtube account to do that.

Reason is that in the first five days of a release on youtube, the place in the search queue is really important, which is why people litter their videos with captions begging you to "like" "favorite" and "comment" on them.

After around a week your video will be more or less set in one spot on the queue for a long <tim>, so it doesn't matter so much then.

Also I wanted to keep it underground for a bit but the cat's out of the bag now so that's fine.

As always <Tim> thanks for the detail in your comment.

I actually could have posted the film two months ago but the resolution looked crap to me- I have a really big monitor.

So I did a lot of research on "video files" and discovered the best equipment to use when downloading films.

Turns out I didn't have it, but once I figured out what to get I bought the software.

I then proceeded to re-download every single piece of chess footage. It took two months to do it.

Then after I re-edited all that back in the film, I was thinking "I bet nobody would even have noticed or cared about the resolution."

But you did.

Thanks to you- your one comment, and that's all it takes- I don't feel like I just wasted two months of my life for nothing.

Thanks <Tim>!

Thanks, I've been building a MANASSA MAULER folder for some time, but the STRAWS were a good suggestion.

I need good Kraut musik as well, as <The Musician> spent a great deal of time there as well as in WIENER.

jessicafischerqueen: <bomba> that was an excellent suggestion regarding "hypermodern" music.

In fact, I'm going to do that, but I will copyright the idea first.

I hope that's Ok!

If not, feel free to contact my lawyer <hms123>.

Inspired by your latest televisual cue, I have just finished downloading every single "Honeymooners" and "Phil Silvers Show" episodes.

They knew funny back then. Not only is neither show dated, you can see where contemporary sitcoms stole all their ideas from.

jessicafischerqueen: Thanks Tim- embarrassingly, I've already forgotten who Sam and Max are, although I know you told me already.

Is it a TV show? A hoax? I believe some scholars doubt the existence of Sam and Max.

Are you sure you don't mean Shalom and Marx?

They were a popular ventriloquist act in the Hamptons during the 1950s. If I recall correctly, they were eventually blacklisted for calling <Dwight D. Eisenhower> a "weiner."

jessicafischerqueen: Well the PC language police may have gypped us out of a few Dutch Dates, not to mention Dutch Ovens, but it's probably for the best in most cases.

Sadly, however, the reason people don't use those terms anymore isn't because of any kind of PC enlightenment.

It's because nowadays people are stupider than ever, most relying on a vocabulary of 10-20 words.

I suppose this makes for a certain "conciseness," though.

One of the funniest things about <Lehrer> is how many funny parodies of him that are about.

You might also like Penn and Teller's "@#$%*&!#" TV show.

They go after religion, lifestyle fads, new age, and hippies, mainly.

So it's guaranteed to offend everyone on the planet.

I swear by it myself.

Yes it's all about the laughs, they come first. Johnny Crabson was before my time but he's all over the internets, funny guy.

Speaking of which I hope you aren't jealous of my Phil Silvers download. I have every episode and I'm watching them one at a time, slowly.

I don't want you to feel jealous though.

Really? You are switching from <Bandages>?

I'm not against <Gumby> winning the World Championship, but I don't think he can beat <Anna Abbandando> (from NYPD Blue TV show) now.

Not because <Glue Factory> missed a Queen trapping move, but because he resigned instantly. In fact, he could have forced <Bad Company> to play for that win and prove his technique.

<Bob-tail Deer>, or <Viktor Scorched Earth Policy> would never have resigned that position.

It shows an unwillingness to play chess on the part of <Gumbo Soup> that could prove fatal. If it doesn't prove fatal, it should.

I'm with <Bilbo Baggins> more than before even.
