I am far more a chess lover than chess player. The youngsters are too quick for me. I will mention three names which contributes to my chess interest. My first great favourite player was Bobby Fischer, I read all I could find in the newspapers during the 1972 World Championship match against Spasskij. Then I followed Simen Agdesteins nice performance in the eighties and nineties. My last favourite is the young and great Magnus Carlsen. I do all I can to follow his play live on internet. Great entertainment which really make me relax from all other burden and responsibility. I have read a lot of important chess history and bio of many great players. I follow kibitzing a lot, even though I seldom participate myself. I have serious respect for all the knowledge I see demonstrated in the kibitzing sessions, even so I think some hotties could put a little restraint on themselves. Anyway I love it because people engage in something important for themselves and their chess friends. I live in Nothern Norway where people is nice, summer is light and winter is dark.

Rolfo: Good summary by Ezzy

   May-19-13 Teimour Radjabov

Rolfo: < I think Radjabov still has a chance at 2800. > Well, Kramnik managed to revise his play after the Anand loss, and Radjabov is still very young

Rolfo: The three top finishers in this tourney, we haven't heard the last from them. A memorable event

   May-17-13 Simen Agdestein

Rolfo: <<Rolfo> If you should win, I'll take that beer at Carma, Øverbygd, Inner-Troms. If that hell hole still exists...> I see, you once did your drafted service there.. Luckily I live at the coast, not far from Øverbygd though. A beer no problem anyway :)

Rolfo: < I guess you haven't heard, but this crazy tournament shuttles the players to different locations in Norway several times. As a player I would find that maddening, but if it means more money then I guess it's a good idea. It's like a band going on tour: when they come to a city ...

Rolfo: Great win, congrats

May-13-13 Karjakin vs Carlsen, 2013 (replies)

Rolfo: <<Rolfo: Magnus won't like to lose this game> Did you mean Karjakin?> Neither of them would like to lose of course. Since Magnus is playing second fiddle so far and now is meating the tournament leader who obviously is on a streak , well anything can happen

Rolfo: < Or is it just a gimmick coz you eventually end up playing the same folks with both colours. Correct me if I am wrong.> In a SRR (single round robin) you play each opponent only once

   May-05-13 Veselin Topalov (replies)

Rolfo: < I am sure you guys realize that Silvio's agenda is to eventually replace Kirsan.> It takes someone like Danailov to replace Kirsan, good bet if he just could stay a mile away from Topalov:)
