 | | WannaBe: This is embarassing, especially for the Bruins.

 |
| Apr-11-12 | | Jim Bartle: And they included Gary Beban Jr., Marques Johnson Jr., Mel Farr Jr. (oops, he already graduated), Randy Cross Jr., and Troy Aikman Jr. Maybe we've found the reason for the team's haplessness the past few years. |

Apr-11-12
 | | WannaBe: <JB> Bwahahahah!! You forgot Lew Alcindor Jr., maybe it would be Lewis Alcindor III by now! =) |

 | | WannaBe: Maybe the organizer(s) spent the last 34 years on the 'Moon'. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/olymp... |

 | | WannaBe: Givin' the 3 Stooges 4 Nyuks out of 5! |

Apr-16-12
 | | Memethecat: <WannaBee> I can't find a way to change my gameknot prefs to 3 day mvs, so I think I've got to start another game as that's the only time it gives me the 2,3,4 day option. Does that sound right to you? |
 |
Apr-16-12
 | | WannaBe: http://www.networkworld.com/researc... Can't make this up, number 3 and 4 sounds absolutely 'amusing'! |
 |

 | | WannaBe: A particial sampling from No. 4, from my previous linked article: <Horne's job is to evaluate and edit dozens of reader contributions each day, then choose which ones to publish. He quickly discovered that major contributors were spending most of their time hawking products, while others were using multiple identities in order to argue with themselves. For two hours a day, Horne attempts to douse flame wars fueled by a combustible mix of arrogance and ignorance, snuff out personal attacks, and deal with threatening emails complaining about his own performance -- all for free. > |

 | | Memethecat: OK I've got 2 team games to play, they're both against the same player, I take it this is normal? but unexpected.
Another question: My knowledge of openings is on par with an amoeba, so for CC I usually rummage around Opening Explorer to help me try new things & to get the general jist of unfamiliar starts. Is this allowed? or am I a cheating so & so? |
 |
Apr-17-12
 | | WannaBe: You get 2 games, one white, one black, same opponent. Opening explorers are allowed, as you can also use GK's opening database... |
 |
Apr-17-12
 | | WannaBe: I also believe, as long as no computer engine is used, any print/online literature is fair game. |
 |
Apr-17-12
 | | Memethecat: Good to know. In the past I've played through lots of GM games in the relevant opening variant, always helpful. |

Apr-18-12
 | | WannaBe: http://www.networkworld.com/news/20... Is it Y2K? No.
Will things still work (for the Feds)? Yes.
Will (certain) things not work? Yes
Will <TD> get his 20.00$ retirement check? NO, NO, NO! |
 |
Apr-19-12
 | | Memethecat: <WB> For now I'm happy with 1 match at a time, I'll let you know if my appetite grows. I prefer 3day moves, but if its difficult to find opponents then its OK to go up to my 7day setting limit. Appreciate all your help btw. |
 |
Apr-19-12
 | | WannaBe: <Memethecat> That's what I am here for. =)) |

 | | WannaBe: Thank you, Discovery.

Space: the final frontier. This is the Final voyage of the starship Discovery. Its twenty-seven year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before*. (Failed to find any civilisations, failed to contact alien species. Total colossal waste of tax-payers money, you can probably blame George W. =)) |

Apr-20-12
 | | WannaBe: Anybody know how to copy/paste while using a cell phone? Android platform. Specifically web page URL, or to quote another member's post. Thanks in advance. |
 |
| Apr-20-12 | | I play the Fred: <WB>, I have an Android phone. I hold my finger on the text until a couple of brackets appear. Those you can slide around to select a block of text. Once you have it, tap it. That will give you a <Text copied to clipboard.> message. Then you hold your finger down in the text area until the <Paste> option appears. Hope that helps. |
 |
Apr-20-12
 | | WannaBe: <I play the Fred> figured out the link portion, was able to copy a word, but not a block. See if it's my stupid paw, or the stupid default T-Mobile browser. Will do more testing! |
 |
| Apr-22-12 | | NakoSonorense: Hey, nice seeing you yesterday. Pauley Pavilion is looking good - I hope it pays off and we at least make it to the Final Four next year! |
 |
Apr-23-12
 | | WannaBe: <NakoSonorense> It was good seeing you too! |
 |
Apr-23-12
 | | WannaBe: Okay, I have a 'minor' issue with my new Dell Inspiron laptop, the mouse pad on the keyboard is too big. With the large m-pad, my big paws keeps on hitting/tapping it, and make my mouse jumps to unexpected places, hence/and it also make my web-page behaves very unexpectedly. |
