chancho: I remember when Curdo lived in Chelmsford (took a few lessons) and then he moved to Auburn when he got married. The dude's in his 80's and still playing tournaments. And yeah, a real class act.

Travis Bickle: <chancho: <Travis> Lee and Ali, it was a mutual admiration.> I agree and come to think of it, I think I remember my older cousin telling me Lee adapted Ali's bouncing on his toes style. Lee believed that when you fought you shouldn't just have one style but to adapt and adjust to the foe you were facing.

Travis Bickle: Thanks for the article Chancho! I watched a documentary about Bruce Lee that had an interview with actor James Coburn who was 1 of Bruce Lee's students as well as Steve McQueen. In turn he would request acting lessons. Lee also taught Kareem Abdul Jabbar among others the martial arts.

Here's an interesting link.

Travis Bickle: Thanks chancho for being considerate but you could have left your post on my forum. I like to think my music forums are a melting pot of all kinds of music, as long as Im not doing a 5 or 6 song playlist of 1 artist. ; )
