Jun-28-16 Biographer Bistro (replies) I received an email that I thought I'd pass along: <Hello CG! -- I was wondering If you guys plan to compile a page for the 1979 Banja Luka Tournament, which was instrumental for Garry Kasparov. I see that “Suenteus Po 147” already has done all the hard work>
Jun-26-16 chessforum (replies) <board-flip capability?> Oh, I misunderstood you. I thought you wanted a way to post an inverted FEN so that a1 is in the upper-right corner. You just want a "flip" button by the diagram to allow the viewer to flip it, is that the idea? Likewise the pop-up could have a ...
Jun-19-16 Chessgames Bookie chessforum (replies) I am very sorry to report that after working on the problem for over an hour I probably made the situation far worse than it was. Regarding these bets: Your Next Move GCT Leuven (blitz) rd 4: Carlsen - Vachier-Lagrave Your Next Move GCT Leuven (blitz) rd 5: Kramnik - ...
Jun-05-16 A Pomar Salamanca vs E Palacios, 1964 (replies) I just had a late night chat with User: Kev to make sure that this puzzle is correct as 16...? He said that it was a brilliancy of Palacios' that he came across while researching the recently deceased Pomar. He was unaware of Stockfish's drawing variation, which if I ...
May-22-16 Blatny vs E Vladimirov, 1989 (replies) There was some earlier confusion over where to best begin this puzzle. The best point is what we show now, 25...?
Apr-29-16 Carlsen vs Eljanov, 2016 (replies) Switch to Harikrishna-Aronian?
Apr-29-16 D Hausrath vs M Kraemer, 2006 (replies) We are very sorry for the scheduling mishap that unintentionally recycled last week's puzzle. Under the unusual circumstances we'll have two puzzles today and show you as well a rerun from 2004. See you over at Piskov vs M Krasenkow, 1989 (43. ?)
Apr-27-16 Harikrishna vs M Vachier-Lagrave, 2016 (replies) We'd like to apologize for the scheduling mishap with the Carlsen vs Kramnik, 2016 game today. The scheduler failed to activate at the proper time. Daniel has located a typo introduced a few weeks back and believes this problem has been fixed. The remainder of the tournament ...
Apr-25-16 Carlsen vs Kramnik, 2016 (replies) Please note that this game begins on Wednesday.
Apr-06-16 Y Visser vs Speelman, 2006 (replies) There was a schedule problem with today's puzzle. Two different puzzles (one of them completely meaningless) were temporarily shown before we got it right. This is truly today's puzzle. In spite of appearances it's not a repeat: we used it before on move 27...? for a simple ...

Just follow the directions with your PGN and they will upload your game when they can. Once your game is in the database, you'll have your own player page.

Benzol: <Benzol> <chessgames would it be possible for you to process a number of outstanding uploaded games so that Game Collection: Isaac Boleslavsky - Selected Games can be completed?>

<chessgames> The above was posted on December 12th. Am I on someone's ignore list or something? A good number of these games have been outstanding for over two months or more. Hope I haven't ticked someone off accidentally.

Jan-02-11  Dmaster995: Happy New Year <>! Is a Bob4 or another non-computer game in the works?
Jan-02-11  crawfb5: <Benzol> It's not you. I have quite a few that have been in the pipeline for a while as well. I think CG is just slower than normal on processing uploads this time of year.

Phony Benoni: <Benzol> <crawfb5> Same here. I'm also blaming end-of-year distrctions.

Peligroso Patzer: Morozevich vs Navara, 2011 appears twice in the games database listed at Reggio Emilia (2010) (#5 and #21), and the result (1-0) is currently reflected twice in the standings table.
Premium Chessgames Member
Peligroso Patzer: BTW, comments posted for Morozevich vs Navara, 2011 currently appear only in the version listed as #21 at Reggio Emilia (2010), so that is the copy of the game that should be retained.

Benzol: <Phony Benoni> <crawfb5> Thankyou both for posting. Although it's not a good thing it's feels better to know that I'm not the only one.

Benzol: <chessgames> The 118th New Zealand Ch is on at the moment. Our own Richard Taylor is playing in the Major Open. Round One games pgn can be accessed at

Richard Taylor: <Benzol> I'm playing in the Championship.

I lost to IM Anthony Kerr in round one. He has been NZ Champion 11 times so I excuse myself for that! Draw yesterday with Bill Forster.

Leonard McLaren had a win over IM Russell Dive. He played a nice combination leading to a won ending.

Richard Taylor: <Benzol> One of my old games vs. Peter Stuart from the 60s got through and is now on (thanks to them).

I have a couple of books - one on the Tarrasch French and one about the Nimzo and there are number of complete Master and GM games not one here so I will upload them in time.

Premium Chessgames Member
Richard Taylor: Here is link to some of the games played live. You can play over the games.

Oops! Sorry Richard I only glanced at cross-table late last night when I was very tired and got confused.

Good luck in the remainder of the games. I might see you at the venue this afternoon.

I first did a search on <Pogonina> which led me to the CG Challenge. I could read all the posts containing the word Pogonina while I did *not* sign up for that game. I thought you would like to know that as well.

twinlark: The crosstable at Reggio Emilia (2010) is all over the shop after 7 rounds, having some of the players completing 6, 7 or 8 rounds, including one game by Morozevich v Navara that's been listed twice.

Golden Executive: <> At the current CG Challenge, how can the World Team claim a draw by three fold repetition?
Premium Chessgames Member If there is a three-time repetition just tell an arbiter (us) and we'll declare it drawn.
