A big thanks goes to my chess mentors, both alive and those who are no longer with us.Rich C F Misa
"Chess is a game by its form, an art by its content and a science by the difficulty of gaining mastery in it. Chess can convey as much happiness as a good book or work of music can. However, it is necessary to learn to play well and only afterwards will one experience real delight." - Tigran Vartanovich Petrosian
Greetings! My name is Rich and I have been a chess enthusiast since age 6. I got attracted to chess when I chanced upon a game featured in a newspaper sports article. It read, "Tigran Petrosian- Boris Spassky 10th game 1966 title match". I was totally in awe as to how a player could sacrifice his rooks and still win!
I first played correspondence chess back in 2000. Since then, I have gotten the feel of testing my chess skills in an environment where I have more time to think.
