 | | meloncio: My old home-PC broke last Saturday definitely after a brief but lethal illness, and now I'm writing from work. I'll have some troubles to come here until I get a new one. Last night in CL Barsa got another unexpected draw in the very last minute. Firts signs of weakness? |
| Sep-14-11 | | NakoSonorense: <Firts signs of weakness?> I don't think so. Barsa dominated the whole game and were very unlucky with those two goals: one in the first 24 seconds and the second in injury time. Other than that, Milan didn't have a chance, except for a few minutes at the beginning of the game. They tied with Real Sociedad during the weekened, but the season is young. Didn't they lose to Hercules at Nou Camp in last season's opener? And they also didn't have a great start in Champions League, having tied with a club from Russia. We all know what happened next! =) |

 | | technical draw: <meloncio> If your wife won't let you have a new PC then just sit at the table pretend there's a computer screen, move an invisible mouse and type on an invisible KB, your wife will think you're crazy and she'll go out and buy a new computer for you herself! |
| Sep-16-11 | | NakoSonorense: That's a great plan, <TD>! Have you done it? Is that how you tricked your son into renewing your chessgames membership? |
Sep-16-11
 | | technical draw: <Nako>. No I used the "I have my credit card maxed" trick. "Put it on your credit card and I'll pay you later." Since I know he won't ask me for the money I just pretend I forgot (me hago el loco). |
| Sep-18-11 | | azaris: Tottenham - Liverpool 4-0
A hopeless Pool were completely outplayed even before they went down to nine men. Adebayor's scored three now in his two first games -- but then again he's been known for always scoring at White Hart Lane for years... |
Sep-18-11
 | | TheAlchemist: Congratulations, Spain, again on top of Europe! They are really a fantastic team, I hope they will all stay healthy so they can again challenge the US in London next year. |
Sep-19-11
 | | meloncio: <TD><Nako> It's done. I'll get my new PC in a few days, and now the problem is to choose it carefully. <azaris> Watched a lot of British football this weekend. Apart from Spurs I saw Man U - Chelsea 3-1, where Torres scored at last but missed an incredible chance to get the second one. But the most thrilling game was the Old Firm, Rangers vs Celtic (4-2). By historical solidarity reasons I should root for Catholic side but man, when I see these green & white stripes I feel uneasy :D <TheAlchemist> Hi friend, I think Gasol brothers and "bomba" Navarro are the keys. Hey USA, here we go next year! |
Sep-19-11
 | | moronovich: <....where Torres scored at last but missed an incredible chance to get the second one.> Hi´ <meloncio> Good to hear you got your PC back and I hope things are going fine in Seville and suppose the climate is bearable now !? And what a howler by Torres.OMG !
Take care. |
| Sep-19-11 | | NakoSonorense: Torres's touch for his goal was world class. But he then went on and missed two clear chances, one of which was a total jaw-dropper. It's hard to believe that someone who costs 50m can miss like that. I wouldn't want to be in <meloncio>'s shoes this morning as Real Betis is 3 for 3 in La Liga. Sevilla is not doing that bad either, but los Béticos are the new boys in town and they shouldn't be on top. <Hey USA, here we go next year!> Bring it on! |
Sep-19-11
 | | kellmano: I was laughing as hard as anyone else at Torres's miss, but the footwork to beat the keeper was cracking to set up the open goal that he missed. And the finish for teh first was sublime. Somehow, I think his personality is the type that won't involve him staying awake worrying, but we'll see. |
Sep-21-11
 | | meloncio: <moronovich> Hi friend. Yes, the climate in Sevilla is now good, 18 ºC min, 31 ºC max today. A nice season after our heavy African summer. <Nako><beticos> It could be worse. If they beat Zaragoza today and Valencia don't win (against Barsa), they will be alone on the top for the first time in .... hmmm ... more than 70 years!! <kellmano><Torres> I know he looks arrogant but in fact he's very shy. Nothing to do with C.Ronaldo-kind guys, for example. |
Sep-23-11
 | | meloncio: Consumatum est, betis are on the top. I only hope it won't be long because they are unbearable. They told me a bad joke this morning: Do you know why betis are named Los Pájaros (The Birds)? Because they are now sobre Del Nido (on The Nest). Del Nido = Sevilla FC president. It's hard to translate a joke... |
| Sep-25-11 | | falso contacto: Wow huge effort! Since River is not longer on Primera División I couldn't care less about futbol.
I guess nobody saw the Pumas' match this morning. We're heading into a clash with the All Blacks. But narrowly escaped from defeat. |
| Sep-28-11 | | falso contacto: that's how narrowly we escaped.

 | | WannaBe: Just to be really, really, really, funny...

 | | WannaBe: <meloncio> I did it in Portugese because I thought it would be really funny. I had it translated from Eng->Port via Babelfish, I just hope everything was correctly translated... |

 | | meloncio: <WannaBe><I just hope everything was correctly translated> It's OK in my opinion but we'll have to ask <vonKrolock> to be sure. |

 | | meloncio: <fc> Not very fond of rugby but I like to see some game now and then. I didn't know Argentina team was named Los Pumas. |
| Oct-02-11 | | azaris: Tottenham - Arsenal 2-1
A close game as always, but Arsenal just don't seem to have any luck these days. |
Oct-07-11
 | | meloncio: I've been out the whole week for work trip to Madrid. <azaris><...but Arsenal just don't seem to have any luck these days.> And Betis - Levante 0-1. Betis lost their luck ... at last! |
Oct-22-11
 | | meloncio: Tonight Barsa - Sevilla,, and as usual I'm feeling like a sheep going to the slaughterhouse. God help us... |
Oct-22-11
 | | meloncio: And tomorrow the Manchester derby, being both teams at the top. How I wish to be there, at the Old Trafford stands! |
| Oct-22-11 | | azaris: <And tomorrow the Manchester derby, being both teams at the top. How I wish> they could both lose. |
Oct-23-11
 | | meloncio: Barsa - Sevilla 0-0. Not bad for a sheep, and saving a penalty kick to Messi at min.92 in a super-thrilling end costing us two sent-off players, being Kanouté -the quiet man- one of them. A Javi Varas, you our hero, our saint, our king, you deserve a monument beside Giralda right now! |
