Elo 2316 .
"Play the board AND the man ! ".
But mostly the board.
Was born in Elsinore,Denmark,1953.And I am still proud of it.As I hope everyone is proud of hers/his startingpoint.

In many aspects life and chess do mirror each other IM experience. As science and belief goes hand in hand.So many "rules of thumbs" and many "exceptions" from the rule. I do agree with Bent Larsen who once said that someone who cannot contain a paradoxe is not using the full capacity of his brain.Actually I am convinced that there are no parodoxes, but perspectives which are more bright or flexible than others...

Though some obviously are borned under more easygoing circumstances than others,I will second our esteemed fellowkibitzer <zarg> who underlines that "luck" is also somehing that we create ourselves. Ourselves, but also together IM experience.
I try to live my life as if Jesus or Buddha knocked on the door , I would wellcome them as friends . And if they didn´t show up, it would be fine anyway.

moronovich: I once met a woman I wouldn´t believe even when she told me she lied.

Later I sold her to a sheik.

Just laying low for a while here at CG,but occasionally I will drop by at your house and say hello.

Stay well my friend & see you down the road...

Do you remember to do your exercises ?

Mar-26-12  frogbert: moro, 2316 - is that danish rating? or an old one?

btw, why should we be proud of where we're born? i certainly didn't do anything in particular to start my life where i did... :o)

moronovich: <frogbert> proud approximately as gratitude

My rating is from the time I played tournamnets and earned an IM-norm but decided to make something ells that made more sense to me whic I am glad I did but today I also work sometimes as a coach for strong players so the aboementioned rating coers quite well.

Mar-26-12  frogbert: well, regardless you are (theoretically at least) still quite a strong player then. and yeah, in many ways i'm *grateful* for being born where i was - at least if we generalize to "the countryside in norway", which i think in many ways is better than growing up in our biggest "cities". unless the place is simply too small, and i haven't quite decided yet if that applies to my own home town.

the main reason i asked about your rating, btw, was that i got a friend request on facebook from a danish player/organizer that i wasn't able to "identify", and i generally only accept friend requests from people i know who "am". in the sense that i know roughly from where they know *me*. :o)
