 | | refutor: i wouldn't say it's suspicious just showing up to gamble...all kinds of people like gambling, i don't see how chess would be any different i think it's kinda fun, probably mostly because i'm doing fairly well ;) did they ever come out and officially say what the people were doing? |

| May-15-06 | | Knight13: Yeah it's really sad. Cheating on a free game is like "no point" of doing it. |

 | | refutor: it looks good on rasheed that the pistons lost last night...and he only scored 7 points. unfortunately the cavs aren't good enough to beat them in the series, or is everybody going to underestimate them right to the conference finals? ;) |

 | | refutor: if dallas puts out the spurs, i predict an eastern conference champion |
 |
| May-18-06 | | chessmoron: I really want to see King James and the Cavs put the guaran'Sheed crap away for good. But I'm not certain that Pistons will back down after Game 5. |

| May-31-06 | | Chess Classics: Hi refutor-I was randomly scrolling across www.schemingmind.com, and I found out that you play for the team "the players". I know it sounds odd, but I just saw your name and it kinda jumped out at me...(also because I play for Club ReyFeroz) Anyway, do you want to start a team of chessgames.com members there, with maybe swapmeet, blingice, etc. Just a thought mate! Regards,

 | | refutor: canadian open round 0
me and ksadler chessforum came down to kitchener last night after work. we stayed at the local university (or the high school down the street as it is affectionately known by people from Waterloo). it is about a 50 minute walk from the playing site, so we walked it out in 31 degree celsius weather. to our disappointment, once you leave line of sight from the universities there are very few patios, so it's gonna be a thirsty walk home all week. so we get near the playing site and they had some kind of car show. we went inside the city hall to pre-register and i could've sworn that there was supposed to be a blit tournament, but there was some sort of sword fighting competition and no blitz tournament at all. words don't do it justice, i wish i would've had a camera. we weren't able to pre-register because they had to take pictures for "passes" or something and it was too dark, so we're off to do that now. normally the rounds start at 11 am, (with the 2000+ section starting at 6 pm, hoping to bump into lawrence day once he gets back from england) but today everybody plays at 2pm. i'm looking forward to it. the night ended with us going to an irish bar, singing and having a good time. they even offered to let me go on stage, but, as i learned from the sword fighting, sometimes discretion is the better part of valor ;) |
