 | | suenteus po 147: <WannaBe> How...odd. What does the score mean? Highly "readable"? Unreadable? |
 |
May-25-12
 | | WannaBe: The first number is reading grade level, or what the intended audience's education (minimum) level should be to comprehend what you wrote. Second number is the understand-ability of the writing, higher it is, easier it is for the reader to fully grasp what was written, (check out <Phony Benoni>'s forum, where he posted a 'cute' study that he did with a chess description) the algorithm returned his input with -12. Gonna plug this post into it, and see what it spews out. Wooo, 15 and 40! Got to make it more convoluted, see if I can get that score down to 35, or 30. =)) |

 | | suenteus po 147: <Benzol> I've been out of touch! I will try to get updated ASAP but am away from my laptop and proper keyboard. In Florida with my wife, whom is sick. How long do I have to update my collections? |
 |
Jul-07-12
 | | Benzol: Peter I'm sorry to hear that your wife is ill. There's no time limit to update the collections so don't worry about that. I just thought you'd be interested in seeing what many of us have been waiting for for so long. Pass on my best wishes to your wife.
Cheers mate.

 | | Phony Benoni: <suenteus po 147> I've gone ahead and updated Game Collection: WCC Index [Zurich 1953] with date and round information. <CG> sort of hinted that was one they wanted to do, so I got it out of the way. |

Jul-18-12
 | | Absentee: Hi, there seems to be an error in the USSR Championship 1945 game collection (unless I missed something). Botvinnik is reported to have played 17 games in 19 rounds, winning 13, but the games listed are actually 18, with 14 wins. |
 |
Jul-18-12
 | | Phony Benoni: <Absentee> This excerpt from the introduction to the collection explains the discrepancy: <Flohr fell ill after the third round and was forced to withdraw from the tournament. His record of participation and the games played were expunged from the final score, but his three games are included here for completeness and historical accuracy.> One of Flohr's games was a loss to Botvinnik. |
