|Dec-02-10|| ||Travis Bickle: Well coach that's better than Gomez Adams never winning a case! ; P|
|Dec-03-10|| ||talisman: <Travis> thanks, LOL!...by the way I read where Ron Santo passed away today...RIP. i used to listen to him on the radio and turn Brenly and the tv guys off.|
|Dec-03-10|| ||Travis Bickle: Yeah Ernie Banks, Billy Williams and Ron Santo were from a different era of baseball, playing for the love of the game! |
|Dec-04-10|| ||talisman: <Travis> you got that right buddy..."let's play two!".|
|Dec-19-10|| ||talisman: RANDOM THOUGHTS ON OFF-SEASON.
orioles need to get laroche, then they will fly as high as the baby bird arms will take them. buck is the best manager in baseball. o's will be very good. now my astros are drifting down the river. keppinger was one of our best ballplayers on the field last year and now he doesn't have a job. they should have gone after theriot because he would have gone there to be close to home. larussa didn't take long to snatch his new ss.
the cubs are right around 10 yrs. away from respectability. glad to see lee not go to the yankees. white sox and red sox had terrific off-season so far...watch out for the O's!!!!
|Dec-23-10|| ||Travis Bickle: Merry Christmas Coach, New Orleans Style!
Nutty Jingle Bells - Al Hirt

|Dec-23-10|| ||jessicafischerqueen: Merry Christmas to you too!|
|Dec-24-10|| ||talisman: Merry Christmas everyone!|
|Dec-25-10|| ||Stonehenge: Merry Christmas to you too!|
|Jan-23-11|| ||Texas Skybear: talisman. I've been to the Hill Country but not in Dripping Spring. I'm familiar with Kerrville, Fredericksburg... not around Austin. Are you from Texas?|
|Jan-29-11|| ||talisman: <Texas Skybear> no but I'm moving there this summer. Baton Rouge ain't Baton Rouge anymore. got family in austin now...good music..good views...looking forward to it.|
|Jan-30-11|| ||Texas Skybear: I love the country myself. Good living.|
|Feb-02-11|| ||talisman: <Texas Skybear> Kerrville...folk music festival...1975 or so...john prine, jimmy buffet,etc...they still have it?|
|Feb-04-11|| ||talisman: ok, next post will be 3,000...need a good #30 dedicate it to...Chuck Mercein?|
|Feb-05-11|| ||talisman: chuck merein??? no!!! the Baltimore Orioles!...Talisman's childhood team gets the call...these guys are loaded!! you heard it here first...they will beat the Yankees...Red Sox not so sure...Reynolds at third(spin hitter instead of vertical(hands on the inside of the ball)) Hardy at short(healthy) roberts at 2nd(best answer ever to the steroid Question(yea i did but only once), face of the franchise, d.lee at first(still a good ballplayer) best OF in baseball and Now.....big bad Vlad as the DH...LOOKOUT...remember you heard it here first.|
|Feb-05-11|| ||A.G. Argent: I 'd love to see the Birds contend, <talisman>, just love it. Been too long.|
|Feb-05-11|| ||talisman: THANKS A.G.(me too!) and it's been too long!|
|Feb-06-11|| ||A.G. Argent: Well, <coach>, ya gotta hope that in taking on Guerrero for a year don't come back to bite 'em in the rear as it has with sooo many other squads. But it is great they are truly trying to get fully legit again. As for the newly Pettiteless Yanks, one word: age. Yanks are entering a phase of decline. So, yeah, I'd fear the Bosox more this year but do NOT forget the Rays.|
|Feb-07-11|| ||talisman: <A.G.Argent> you know i forgot to mention the Dukeshmeister from oakland...he might be the key. after that..shoot it's the baby birds.. on the mound... but i keep thinking BILLY O'DELL! right out of high school...no minor league...(al kaline too)...but if we get the pitching?!!! watch out!.|
|Mar-27-11|| ||talisman: ORIOLES: lots of ???? marks. roberts..health, reynolds..strikeouts,dukesee..hip, pitching..A+ or C-...but Buck will be our !!! mark
ASTROS: we'll just have to wait on the sale to get seious again.
RANGERS: sold the house today in Baton Rouge, moving to the Hill country in Austin, so I'll have to become a Ranger fan. Beltre..bad move, i would have fept Michael young there and spent the money on Pitching...ivy league young GM who never played...but we got Nolan overseeing so i'll do my best to become a fan.
theriot starting for the Cardinals so i'll be a cardinal fan this year.
LET'S PLAY SOME BASEBAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL.|
|May-01-11|| ||jessicafischerqueen: Heh- yep I make mistakes in English too, probably every day.|
You'd think <The New York Times> would have some fact checkers and proofreaders though.
How's it going these days? Long time no see- don't be a stranger come over for burritos some time.
|Sep-30-11|| ||talisman: I'm pulling for everyone except the yankees! How bout that Ryan Theriot with a couple of game winning hits in the last 4 games!|
|Sep-30-11|| ||A.G. Argent: <...Ryan Theriot... game winning hits..> Don't think that's gone entirely unnoticed by anybody here, Coach. Quite happy about his clutch hits in his new role of utility SS behind Furcal, either filling in or pinch hitting. That entire bench is deep. Forgot he was a LSU alum and a main man of yours. And I'm counting on the often legit mighty mo thing with the Cards going into Philly. And do you feel at all bad about the Birds ruining the lives of the entire NE section of the eastern seaboard? Can you imagine just how many hangovers there were in Boston yesterday morning? How many over flowing emergency rooms? Papelbon is suddenly the new Buckner. Bet he gets death threats.|
