Tabanus: If this is the US pgn standard, no wonder the other swisses in CG are (or were) crap as well.

MissScarlett: The proper site should be <Crowne Plaza Cherry Hill, Cherry Hill, NJ USA>.

I favour simply <Cherry Hill, NJ USA>.

The pgns should also have the source field filled out, although I suppose that would be next to impossible to add all those in one pgn at a time, given the number of games that need to be imported eh.

Too bad for chess history.

Here is what the pgns look like at the moment:

Doesn't <cg.com> have a bot that runs periodically which cleans up such matters?

I don't have time to be a "human bot," so I am not doing more than this one here- but it takes around 10 seconds to copy and paste the crap American score in and out of my chess engine to get this proper British score:

1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Nd4 4. Nf3 a6 5. Bd3 g6 6. O-O Bg7 7. Rb1 Nc6 8. a4 e6 9. Re1 Nge7 10. Bf1 O-O 11. d3 d5 12. exd5 exd5 13. Bg5 h6 14. Bf4 g5 15. Bd2 Ng6 16. Kh1 f5 17. Ng1 f4 18. Be2 Nge5 19. h3 g4 20. Bf1 gxh3 21. gxh3 f3 22. Re3 d4 0-1

*If it's not British, it's crap

For the life of me, I never quite figured out why Daniel allowed malformed to be uploaded into the DB, only later to be fixed.

An accident of history, I suppose.

The British invented crap, after all.

<Z> I'm not really a "reader" per se, but I remembered the old Trivial Pursuit question about "Who invented the flush toilet" - Thomas Crapper.

That was an actual question in the game eh?
