Feb-09-23  offramp: Koneru has given big problems for Zhu: she uncorked 20. Rx♙e6 with an "et seq" attack.
Feb-09-23  offramp: Koneru has a winning attack!

Superb move: 20. Rxe6!!
Zhu replied with 20...Bxf3, which is reasonable, but Koneru could now play 21. Rh6!!

She hasn't even taken something!

  perfidious: <offramp>, lovely stuff!
Feb-09-23  offramp: Round 7 had 5 draws and a win, for Dzagnidze against Kashlinskaya.
Feb-10-23  NrthrnKnght: 4/4 and now 3 straight draws...so much for that ol' fighting spirit..roberta fisher nyet
Feb-10-23  offramp: Four results and two draws.

Koneru won with the same coloured bishops.

Paehtz won the black queen v Dragnidve, and White won.

Wagner lost to Zhu. It was an opposite ♗ ending. Someone will look at that.

Kosteniuk 1-0 Anna Muychuck. Another ♗-ending.

There were 2 other draws.

Feb-11-23  NrthrnKnght: I was referring to kosteniuks results sorry I should have been clearer.

HeMateMe: Some exciting chess here. But, I miss hou yifan, who was better than all of the above.
Feb-12-23  offramp: In Round 10 it looks that Kosteniuk is losing to 2nd place Humpy Koneru. That is a different color of what horse around. That would tie the first place.
Feb-12-23  offramp: Kosteniuk & Koneru drew; I think Kosteniuk was a bit lucky.

Abdumalik won, and Wagner and Harika. Tan lost.

Paehtz drew.

Feb-13-23  Octavia: some have drawn already, but our 2 Germans are still playing
Feb-13-23  offramp: Round 11. By 14:30 Muzychuk, Anna 2522 1:15:29 drawn with Abdumalik, Zhansaya 2496 1:08:45 (17 moves) &
Dzagnidze, Nana 2517 1:20:46 drawn with Harika, Dronavalli 2507 1:19:01 ½-½ 11 moves.
Feb-13-23  offramp: Zhu is beating Kosteniuk, but in the previous rounf Koneru was beating Kosteniuk. She obviously has a knack for avoiding losses.

MissScarlett: I like that the FIDE video coverage - at least from what I'm seeing today - concentrates on having the computer board and the players on screen. There's no need to see the commentators all the time.
Feb-13-23  offramp: I think that Kosteniuk 2519 🏴‍☠️ (playing for FIDÉ) has won. How much has she won? I dunno. I reckon she has won about $2.5 Canadian Tire Dollars. These can be used at any German garage. I used all mine up for a phone call during the Mont Blanc Tunnel Fire in 1999.

I am sure that everyone in Munich enjoyed themselves. Hopefully the beyoodiful gals visited the Nymphenburg Palace for an afternoon.

Feb-14-23  offramp:
Prize money:
1 $15k
2 $12k
3 $10k
4 $8k
5-8 $5.5k
9 $4k
10 $3.5k
11 $3
12 $2.5k
Feb-20-23  Zappa XP: 25% of all women are taking medication for mental and emotional illness. That scares the hell out of me. It means 75% of them are running around untreated!

Check It Out: <ftb> Zappa XP is not Zanzibar. They're a Zappa fan, see the profile. Keep your feud to Rogoff, quit sullying other pages.

perfidious: Even if <zed> were a Zappa fan, who cares? This is the most thinly veiled pretext for <fredtheirrelevancy> to take yet another potshot at someone who is being no bother.
