<90m:30m+30spm> can't last long... It MUST be made obsolete.

Premium Chessgames Member		  Atterdag: I have to agree, <offramp>. I still propagate that classical time formats should be replaced by something like 50 m + increments - or 60 m sharp, thereby enabling two games a day and more double round robin tournaments.

The game quality will be much higher than rapids, and not much lesser than classics.

The memorizers of computer lines will have a hard time.

The organizers will appreciate the increased activity caused by two games a day. That also goes for us, the spectators. And I am sure, Carlsen, Caruana and more at the top will welcome it.

Premium Chessgames Member		  offramp: Hello User: Atterdag. When you mentioned Carlsen v Caruana; Carlsen - Caruana World Championship Match (2018). Twelve draws (but good ones).

Like you, I think that in the world championship we'd see 24 rapid games, 2 a day over c. 14 days.

I replied to you a couple of days ago, but I think there was something malfunctioning in CG. Anyway, I just responded that 24 is a great classic number for world championship games, and with 2 games a day, it should be very managable for organizers.

Re this tournament I am delighted to se the two Muzychuk sisters in it. Sorry, though, that Pähtz seems to have a hard time.
