European Team Championship (Women) (2005)

The 6th European Women's Team Championship was contested between 26 national teams in the Göteborg Convention Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, 30 July - 7 August 2005, as a 9-round Swiss System tournament with no rest day. The players stayed in Hotel Gothia Towers. Time control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 15 more minutes for the rest of the game, with 30 seconds added per move. Organizer: Göran Terninger and the European Chess Union. Tournament director: Niklas Sidmar. Arbiters: Johan Sigeman and Werner Stubenvoll.

Poland won with 15/18 match points (+6 =3 -0), ahead of Georgia (14/18) and Russia (3rd on tiebreak with 12/18).
