Jan-28-07  dehanne: <I can't believe Nepomniachtchi lost!> It takes a woman to do a man's job.
Jan-28-07  Karpova: <suenteus po 147> Krasenkov's rating had once been 2700...
Jan-28-07  suenteus po 147: <Karpova> It begs the question, then, why he was invited to the C Group and not the B Group?
Jan-28-07  Karpova: <suenteus po 147>
There has always been a strong player in Group C:

2006: Suat Atalik with an Elo of 2618 at that time
2005: Alekseev (2605) and Korotylev (2603)
2004: Pavasovic (2615) (and Magnus Carlsen though rated 2484 at that time) In 2003 the strongest in the <invitation tens> was Bu Xiangzhi with 2569.

Jan-28-07  suenteus po 147: <Karpova> Thanks, I was not aware of that.
Jan-28-07  Ashram64: sucks for nepo
Jan-28-07  laskereshevsky: HELLO FOLKS

will you excuse my little vanity,
cause i want proudly say i solved all the (12) problems on the Afek's challenge, in the corus chess 2007 site.....of course without any help by th computer.

Jan-28-07  syracrophy: <laskereshevsky> Not so great deal. I also solved them all. Very easy

Jan-29-07  ronaldducalang: <Brynell 2501 -29.6 2471>

That's a good chunk of points lost.

Again a mistake in the seventh row.

According to Y.Vasilyev, the Corus organizers made a decision to invite BOTH M.Krasenkow AND I.Nepomniashiy to Group B in 2008!

Jan-29-07  square dance: i was hoping they would invite nepo to the B group next year. what would be the point of having him play in the C group again?

She performed +2 so she won't lose points, will she?> she only scored +1 (7.0/13) and not +2... Her New rating would be 2510 (sorry for this error) :)

Feb-07-07  VishyFan: <bob000: Clearly, 2509 + 0.6 = 2508 Must be one of those nonEucledian maths.> That was a mistake, with all the complex calculations that i had to do, i probably forgot my basic math... :D
