The 8th European Women's Team Championship was contested between 28 teams in the Sports Business Centre "Vojvodina" in Novi Sad, Serbia, 22-30 October 2009, as a 9-round Swiss System tournament. Here we have Russia and Georgia tied in match points, so a lot will come down to the last match and whether Armenia can draw/beat Russia. Meanwhile, as for individuals Kosteniuk and N. Kosintseva lead the pack with roughly 2650 performances, whereas Sebag and Muzychuk are doing worse than expected.
