Aug-03-14 | | Ke2: Good old Matov. |
Sep-24-15 | | offramp: "That's check, Matov." |
Sep-25-15
 | | perfidious: Always check, it might be Matov. |
Jan-13-17
 | | wwall: Fischer coasted in the end. He scored 7.5 out of 8 in the first 8 rounds. |
Oct-07-17 | | ughaibu: Playing games with an average length of 63 moves can't seriously be characterised as "coasting", regardless of the result. |
Oct-10-18 | | Karne: Impressive tournament from Fischer, even though his opposition weren't always of the stellar sort. |
Oct-11-18 | | Troller: Some comments by Fischer related through Larsen here: Matulovic vs Fischer, 1968 |

 | | keypusher: Copying from Troller's post:
<They really did their best. In advance I had informed them that I was very strict on my demands for the lighting and ineed they procured some special lamps from Zagreb.I was hard on the Yugoslavian players, 7-0!
In the last three rounds I didn't play very well; I do not know why. I don't think I was relaxing even though I was already certain to win the tournament. I wanted to win it by a large margin. The last two players were very weak.
Ivkov does not play anywhere near as well as he used to. He played a completely horrible opening against me.> I assume by <last two players> Fischer meant Jovanovic and Matov, who finished a combined +1-23=2. Fischer's last two opponents were Gheorghiu and Bertok. |
