Just your average everyday Category 12 tournament with an average rating of 2542, featuring this group of players:

Zoltan Almasi, Etienne Bacrot, Valeri Beim, Harald Casagrande, Igor V Glek, Viktor Korchnoi, Zigurds Lanka, Ian Rogers, Oleg Romanishin, Markus Wach.

From the start it developed into a race between Almasi and Beim. The former kept his half-point advantage when the two leaders drew in round 8, but the last round saw Beim catch up by overcoming some heroic resistance by Korchnoi while Almasi drew with Bacrot.
