Reykjavik Open (2019)

The 34th GAMMA Reykjavik Open was played in Harpa conference center in Reykjavik, Iceland 8-16 April 2019. Rounds 2 and 3 were both played on April 9, but there was a rest day on April 12. Time controls: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 30 more minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move one. Tournament director: Gunnar Bjornsson. Chief Arbiter: Kristjan Orn Eliasson. No less than 8 players ended on top with 7/9, of which Constantin Lupulescu had the best Buchholz score and was declared the winner, ahead of Alireza Firouzja and Nils Grandelius.
