Dortmund Sparkassen (1999) The 27th Dortmunder Sparkassen Chess-Meeting took place in the Dortmunder Opernhaus (Theater, Schauspielhaus) in Dortmund, Germany 10-17 July 1999. Rest day: July 13. The young Hungarian Peter Leko won with 5/7, half a point over future world champion Kramnik. This was Leko's first elite tournament victory.
