Russian Championship Higher League (2015)

The 68th Russian Championship Higher League tournament was a 57-player 9-round Swiss held in Kaliningrad, Russia, 22 June - 1 July 2015. Rest day: June 27. The top 5 players would go to the Superfinal. Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves, 30 more minutes to the end of the game, with 30 seconds added per move starting from move one. Players arriving later than 15 minutes for the game would be forfeited. No draw offers before move 41. Rounds started at 3 pm (local time). Prize fund: 5 million rubles. Organizer: Russian Chess Federation, sponsored by the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charitable Foundation. Tournament director: Alexander Tkachev. Chief arbiter: Dmitry Khromylev.

The 17-year-old Vladislav Artemiev won on Buchholz tiebreak ahead of Motylev (2nd) and Bukavshin (3rd). Also Khairullin (4th) and Dubov (5th) qualified for the Russian Championship Superfinal (2015).
