Pretty Maids All in a Row: 3 Connected Ps on 7th
Compiled by Phony Benoni

They are if you're the player with the three connected pawns on the seventh rank and can expect to have all sorts of pretty maids livening up the party in a move or two. Your opponent may feel differently about the whole experience.

With a theme like this, there is always the temptation to go for the row of pawns even when it's not necessary, especially if the opponent is helpless. Not wanting to encourage such behavior, I will simply mention M Matto vs A Mossiaguine, 2008 for the sake of completeness but not add it to the collection. I'm sure the perpetrator will be shamed into never doing such a thing again.
