  HeMateMe: ...AND, no more British criminals sentenced to 'transport', being sent to the 13 colonies. unfortunately Scarzzy and Harry's ancestors had already made the trip in chains, we were a little late on that one.

  Susan Freeman:
In Flanders Fields Poem By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae In Flanders Fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch, be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

  Susan Freeman: <HMM> hate to be a spreader if false hope, but I am compelled to clarify your statement re antibodies. Having antibodies does NOT mean you had covid 19 and recovered. It means that you had on of the SARS viruses and recovered. They are all covid viruses. You could have had any one of them and number 19 too or not. Herein ends my public service announcement.

Did I say something?

I didn't use a spacebar, I just googled <John McCrae> and this came up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Fl... , wherefrom i copied and pasted the poem as it was.

(Had a line been a little bit longer, I might have had to use the <\ + space + shift> routine to split it from the following line.)

Good lungs and heart, Harry. On my off days from work I sometimes walk a ten mile path, up and down hills, from the Bronx to central park north, a two hour trek. I have a younger man's heart and respiratory action.>>

There must be some equivalent of the German IRON CROSS for you guys. ??

  HeMateMe: the 1986 movie Manhunter is a prequel to Silence of the Lambs. This is the first showing of the Hannibal Lecter character, the imprisoned killer who helps the police track down the insane man who thinks he is undergoing a metamorphosis, changing from man into a winged dragon creature.

There is a sleazy, very unlikeable reporter who works for the National Enquirer, a guy who has caught the attention of the Dragon man (Buffalo Bill in the Jodie Foster movie). He meets a very disappointing ending. Still, you have to give the killer points for style!

  HeMateMe: the first screen appearance of the Dr. Hannibal Lecter character, played in 1986's <Manhunter> (superior to the 2002 remake titled 'Red Dragon') Lecter is played by British thug actor Brian Cox, who is very good here.

<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN2...>

The anti septic white surroundings add a surrealistic touch. Movie was directed by the same guy who did the Miami Vice TV show episodes, similar color nuances.

Both books are excellent. I slightly prefer <Manhunter> because they better flesh out (no pun intended) the Dragon-Buffalo Bill character, the more you know about him, the more terrifying a creature he becomes.

In the book <The Alienist> an even more frightening serial killer is brought to view, a murderer in 1900 New York City, highly recommended by this intrepid crime reporter!
