Dec-28-03  Lawrence: Why didn't Marshall play 18.Bxf2?
Jun-15-04  CAPA2422: Probably because white is a whole piece down and doesn't want to trade any more material... after 18. Bxf2 18. Bc5 and peices will be traded. Marshall's bishop is pinned.
Aug-08-11  xombie: This was a rout! Wonder whether Marshall just blundered the piece early on.

Jonathan Sarfati: Capablanca was a whole piece up, but still chose a complicated finish by sacrificing his ♕. He knew this would be the most efficient win. In the final position, White can't satisfactorily prevent 35... ♖d1! 36. ♕xd1 ♘f2+, ending up two pieces ahead.
Oct-25-17  RookFile: The battle was lost in the opening. I know that there have been some games with the tricky 1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. Bg5 Qb6 5. Nbd2 Qxb2 6 Nc4 Qxc3+ 7. Bd2 Qxc4 8. e4 and black's queen has to give itself up. That's actually the sort of tactical play you might expect from Marshall.
