  Chessical: Tarrasch once again equalises easily against Schlechter's Queens Pawn opening.

Sacrificing the Knight with: <13. Qh5> exd4 14.Qxh7+ Kf7 was considered by the players according to contemporary reports, but after <15. exd4> Re8+ 16. Kd2 Bf8 17. Be2 Rxe2+ 18. Kxe2 Be6 Whites does not have an advantage.

<22.Kd2> is an obvious move, but Schlechter loses the initiative. <22. Nxf5> Rxf5 23. Rxf5 Qxf5 24. Qb3 Rb8 25. Qb4 Rf8 26. Qxb7 is a promising alternative.

Schlechter now suffers from the weakness to his <f> pawn and the exposed state of his King. Tarrasch comes very near to winning.

<33.Qh1> is a blunder as it underestimates the threats to White's King.

If Tarrasch had now played <33...h6>, Schlechter would have had deal wit the complexities of:
