Nov-19-07  aazqua: What the heck happened here? Carlsen just got spanked by this guy. This looks like a second grader getting picked on by his older brother back from college.
Nov-19-07  Jim Bartle: Wrong! He was probably at least a fifth-grader.
Dec-10-07  firmamentalfalcon: Haha, Toan must be surprised at what the kid he beat has become.
Oct-29-09  yadig: Yeah, at least he can say, "I BEAT CARLSEN!"
Feb-22-10  JohnstownChess: to aazqua, he is 10 years old..., hence I would say he played well.
Jan-19-11  redorc19: you are all wrong... this was carlsens first game, so it was pretty normal or, in other words, not outstanding that he lost

alexmagnus: This wasn't Carlsen's first tournament game. One of the first though. IIRC it was the tournament after which he got his first national rating (being 904), but not sure.
Feb-10-11  redorc19: well if click on magnus's profile, you'll see this is his first game... however, if there is another game not in the database, full apologies
Jun-10-11  lemonadepawn: he was a kid, for the love of God..
Jun-17-13  Stone Monkey: 16... Be4?
Aug-02-14  joddon: Carlsen cant make nothing with his queen the whole damn entire game.....he s like a squirrel tied up in a corner begging for nuts!lol.
May-21-15  NikMuhdHaziq: I am laughing when somebody told me Carlsen can beat Tal....
