Here Tarrasch played the unpretentious 15...Nd7 which led to a difficult endgame for him.

I think it was Niemzowitsch, who was also at Bad Kissingen, who pointed out a much more active plan for Black (if you find the analysis flawed, do not blame Niemzowitsch, but me. My memory is not always equally reliable):

15...b5 16.g5 b4! 17.gxf6 bxc3 18.bxc3 Ne2+ 19.Kd2 Nf4 20.Qg4 Rxf6 21.Rb1 Rbf8 with a strong attack.

Or 17.Na4 (instead of 17.gxf6) Ne2+ 18.Kb1 (18.Kd2 Nf4 and ...Nxe4+) Nf4 19.Qh4 Nd7 and Black has taken over the initiative.
