Jul-24-14  GumboGambit: OK, this is the Pterodactyl, but the rest is a bit complicated:

For White, the first move beyond e4 and d4:
Nf3 = <Western>
Nc3 = <Eastern>
c4 = <Central>

After that, it depends of how White handles c5:
dxc5 = <Rhamp...>
Be3= <Amhang...>
Bc4= <Sirocco...>
c3 = <Pterodactyl>

Jan-13-21  ZoneChess: I learned that in the US this is better known as the Sniper opening. But seriously, what's wrong with pterodactyl... and rhamphorhynchus... A very strong opening and it is interesting how van der Weide chooses to replace the sniper bishop with the queen, a sane choice also given the h-file is often a weak point in these types of positions.
